Events

Momentum was founded with the aim of bringing students from different nations together. And what better way to do that than with events. It is important to us that all of our events have a special flair so that they stick in the minds of our guests. Here too, of course, we work non-profit. And always: everyone is welcome!

Beerbachelor

 The Beer Bachelor has been held annually since 2017. The idea behind the event was to give new students an understanding of Varna's rich and diverse pub and bar culture. In the meantime, however, many older students also enjoy the lively evening on a regular basis.

Oktoberfest

One of our biggest and most beloved events! 
Going back to 2016, this celebration of the famous german cultural institution attracts people from all ages and backgrounds! 
Beer, traditional german 'Schlager' music, Bratwurst and of course - more Beer made the Oktoberfest an institution in the bulgarian late summer.

Varneval

This event dates back to 2017, when the first “Varneval” party was held in “Club Vintage”.

Meant as a homage to the german “Karneval” celebration in spring, the event was always a big fan favorite. With amazing costumes and a mix of german and international music, every year is better than the last!

Winter's Eve

It's getting cold in Varna too. To give each other a little warmth, we have been holding the 'Winter's Eve' every December since 2018. 
Facing the icy temperatures we throw ourselves into our thickest clothes and come together one last time over an open fire and mulled wine before many of us disappear into the Christmas holidays..

Dance Ball

The prom is one of our favorite events as it is absolutely unique in Varna. Dressed up to the maximum, we spend an evening together with good food, beautiful music and classical dances. Of course, every prom has a special motto!
As there are only a limited number of tickets, they often sell out quickly. But no worry! After our last dance, we open the doors and let the beautiful evening progress into an exuberant party.

Pub Quiz

Since we medical students are known for not straining our heads too much in everyday life, Momentum has also had its own quiz format since 2018. In the case of whimsical, but by no means unsophisticated questions, you can eat, drink, laugh and, above all, compete with the other teams.

Momentum Beach

That organizing parties is not our only quality shows our volleyball tournament "Momentum Beach". The first tournament was originally supposed to take place in summer 2020, but had to be canceled at short notice due to Corona. Everybody is welcome - regardless of whether you compete as a team or just come by to have a good time with a cool drink on the beach while cheering on the participants.

Skitrip to Bansko

Since 2019 Momentum goes skiing in Bansko, the most famous ski resort in Bulgaria and a popular winter excursion destination for students. 

Bansko is located in the south western part of Bulgaria directly at the Pirin National Park, about 6 hours drive from Varna. 

In the last years, Momentum has tried to help the students organizationally, for example by bundling ski rentals and negotiating good conditions. In the future, however, we would like to expand our efforts by organizing bus trips, apartment bookings, ski courses and events. Our goal: gather as many students as possible for at least one weekend in Bansko to hit the slopes together.
