Welcome to our subpage for the ski trip to Bansko, the most famous ski resort in Bulgaria and a popular winter excursion destination for students. Since 2019 Momentum seeks to gather as many students as possible for at least one weekend in Bansko to hit the slopes together.

Upcoming Event

Winter is coming! That's why we have already been planning the Momentum ski trip for a couple of weeks to make sure everything is ready in time.

This year we would like to expand our offer: In addition to organizing the rental of equipment for our participants, we also offer a collective bus ride, so not only the stay in Bansko, but also the ride to Bansko will be an event itself.

Registration Process

In order to know what to expect, here are all the information for our next trip!


  • Ski Pass

    Momentum does not offer a ski pass for our participants. Therefore, we kindly ask everyone to go to the respective counters in the ski resort to get one. 

  • Bus Transfer

    Momentum is hiring a bus to offer you a transfer from Varna to Bansko and vice versa.

    Please notice that the bus trip is only compatible for the 3 day ski pass. 

    Each bus has a capacity for 50 passangers. Therefore the principle "first come first served" will apply. If a bus is full and we do not receive enough registrations for another one, we will inform those who unfortunately cannot travel with us and refund their money for the bus ride as soon as possible. 

    If you cancel shortly before the trip, please understand that a refund is in this case not possible because momentum or the other participants would have to take on the missing expanses which we do not want to demand nor can afford as we are a non-profit organisation. 

  • Equipment Rental

    Momentum has a cooperation with a local ski rental company. 

    We can offer you several different ski and snowboard equipment packages for either the 3 day or 4 day trip. You will find the exact prices in the formula.

    Unfortunately, we must inform you that the rental company does not offer loss or theft insurance. So keep in mind that in case of loss or theft of equipment you will have to pay for it yourself.

  • Beginners Course

    Since some of you have never done winter sports before, Momentum is going to offer ski and/or snowboarding classes for beginners. 

    The course takes place on the first two days for two/four hours each.

    Please keep in mind that we need at least 4 admission to book the course. If for this reason a course is not possible, we will make every effort to provide you with an experienced skier or snowboarder to teach you the basics (and of course refund the price). 

  • Apres Ski Party

    Unfortunately, we have only verbal agreements so far and therefore do not want to give out more information until we have the definite commitment. However, since you do not have to pay for the party in advance, this does not make any difference for your booking. 

  • Apartment Rental

    Momentum does not offer the option to book an apartment house together, as the possible costs we might incur in case of cancellations or damages are still too uncalculable for us. 

    However, you should definitely make sure when booking your accommodation that it is as close to the lift as possible so that you have less stress in the morning.
