About us

Momentum is a non-profit organization of students at Medical University Varna, which aims to bring international and Bulgarian students together and to enrich student life in Varna through a variety of events and projects.

We value an integrative claim that not only upholds tolerance towards other cultures and ideals, but also demands it. Regardless of whether you are a freshmen or in your practical year: We welcome everyone who not only wants to complete their studies, but wants to actively shape it.

Henri studies Human Medicine in his 3rd year and is with Momentum since 2021. He's interested in snowboarding and sailing.

Jan N.

Jan is from Bamberg, Germany, and was with Momentum from 2015 to 2020. He is currently enjoying some free time before starting his specialist training. Jan offers students at MU Varna mentoring and, eventually, arranging contacts.

Diyan D.

Diyan is from Varna, Bulgaria, and was with Momentum from 2015 to 2018. He is currently doing specialist training in neurosurgery at the Evangelisches Klinikum Bethel Bielefeld. Diyan offers students at MU Varna mentoring on the subject of neurosurgery and, eventually, arranging contacts.

Franzi is from England, Germany, and was with Momentum from 2017 to 2019 before she changed to Tübingen, Germany. She will finish her medical degree in 2023. Franziska is happy to answer questions if someone is interested in studying medicine in Tübingen.

Hagen, Momentum member 2019 - 2022, is the geek of the table. Interested in every aspect of nerdism, he strives to lure out the introverts and create offers to make Varna a vivid place for the those who enjoy the smaller things.

He aspires to find himself in Onkology, hematology or pneumology after his studies.

Valentin studies Human Medicine and was part of the Momentum Team from 2021 until 2022. His main Interests are sports, (environmental) politics and medicine, especially surgery. His goal is to one day work for Doctors without Borders.
